In the clearest skies of Chile and almost everywhere in the world, an astronomical experience is a must, and there’s nothing better than getting to know the Collowara Observatory. We’ll depart from La Serena towards the commune of Andacollo, where the Collowara Observatory is located. This observatory has as its main objective to be scientific, touristic, and educational. This astronomical experience lasts approximately an hour and a half, starting with an introductory talk on astronomy with live images of the sky. After the talk, we’ll move to the terraces where, through state-of-the-art equipment and specialized guides, we’ll be able to see various elements of our galaxy and learn more about the fascinating world of astronomy. Finally, we’ll visit the central dome, where we’ll have a closer experience with a real professional observatory. Upon concluding this experience, we’ll return to La Serena.
